What I Eat in a Day: 150g Protein, Fully Vegetarian

I've shown you the theory. Now here's the practice. This is an actual day of eating for me, documented with real portions, real macros, and real timestamps. Nothing was optimized or adjusted for this post. This is just how I eat.

7:15 AM - Breakfast

Masala Egg Bhurji (3 eggs) with 2 slices whole wheat toast

Macros: 28g protein | 380 calories | 18g fat | 30g carbs

This takes me about 12 minutes from fridge to plate. The bhurji is my default breakfast because it's fast, it's warming, and it gives me a solid protein base to start the day.

10:30 AM - Morning Snack

Greek yogurt with almonds and honey

Macros: 22g protein | 280 calories | 14g fat | 18g carbs

I keep Greek yogurt at the office. This takes 2 minutes to assemble. The protein-to-effort ratio is unbeatable.

1:00 PM - Lunch

Protein Chana Masala with Protein Jeera Rice

Macros: 33g protein | 520 calories | 16g fat | 62g carbs

Microwaved for 2 minutes at the office. The chana masala actually tastes better after a couple days in the fridge. I splash a little water on the rice before reheating to keep it fluffy.

4:00 PM - Pre-Workout Snack

Spicy Garlic Edamame

Macros: 20g protein | 290 calories | 8g fat | 32g carbs

I eat this about an hour before the gym. The edamame gives me protein and the banana gives me quick energy. Nothing heavy, nothing that'll sit in my stomach during squats.

5:00 - 6:15 PM - Gym

Upper body day. Bench press, rows, overhead press, pull-ups, curls. Water throughout.

7:00 PM - Dinner

Palak Paneer with Garlic Naan and Greek Yogurt Raita

Macros: 36g protein | 580 calories | 28g fat | 42g carbs

Post-workout dinner is where I eat the most. The palak paneer gives me 20g, the naan adds 6g, and the raita brings another 8g. This is the meal I look forward to all day.

9:00 PM - Evening

Cottage cheese with fruit

Macros: 14g protein | 120 calories | 2g fat | 12g carbs

Light, cold, easy. Cottage cheese before bed is a bodybuilding classic because casein protein digests slowly overnight. Plus it tastes good with fruit.

Daily Totals

152g protein | 2,170 calories | 86g fat | 196g carbs

That's 152g protein from eggs, Greek yogurt, chickpeas, cottage cheese, paneer, lentils, edamame, and grains. Zero meat. Zero protein powder. All real food that I genuinely enjoy eating.

Some days I'm higher, some days I'm a bit lower. But the system works because every meal has protein built in by design, not by accident.
